Stress, Tension and their Causes

There are many different causes of Stress in our everyday 21st century Lives, We live at a much faster pace than in previous decades, are driven to work longer hours with less time to unwind at the end of a demanding day. It is very important that each and every one of us finds at least one way to make a little me time for ourselves. Massage and Holistic therapies are a fantastic way of doing this.

Long hours spent at computers can cause recurrent aches and pains especially in areas like the upper back, shoulders and neck area. Often when we work long hours we tend to neglect ourselves, our bodies and we therefore fully relax less and less. Think of your body as a linen sheet - to feel and look it's best it needs regular ironing; Your body is the same, ironing away everyday aches and pains helps the body relax.

Massage can help and assist the body and mind to recover, improve the bodies circulation, and lymphatic drainage all of which is vital to keep healthy.

Try and make time for yourself

Try and eat a well balanced diet (Plenty of fresh fruit and vegatables)

If you diet isn't very healthy at the moment - try taking a regular vitamin and mineral supplement (please note some people should ask there GP or Pharmacist before starting any new medication

Try and excercise regularly

Slow down a little

Take up a hobby

Try to slow down your breathing when you feel stressed or tense

When you do get stressed try to bring your shoulders down and relax them
